Challenge
I’m confident in frontend and design, but I wasn’t comfortable with backend development. I wanted a website that does more than just look good — I wanted it to be interactive with features like messaging and live content updates.
While building the site, I realized I also needed to learn how to work with CMS (Content Management System), datasets, and dynamic pages in Wix. That was a big challenge for me because it involved new tools and a different way of thinking beyond just visual design.
Solution
Researched how to use Wix CMS to manage my projects
Learned how to create datasets to connect my content to design
Built dynamic pages that automatically show project details from the database
This helped me make the site easier to update in the future without manually editing each page and gave me more control over the layout and structure.
Design Process
Planned with Adobe XD – I created a wireframe to lay out my ideas and flow
Built in Wix – I turned my design into a working site and made updates along the way
Adjusted the Design – Some parts changed from my original wireframe as I improved the layout and user experience
Result
A fully working portfolio website that is interactive and responsive
Visitors can send messages or chat with me directly
I used CMS and datasets to create dynamic pages for each project
A true example of how I grew not only in design, but also in building websites that work behind the scenes
This project helped me gain new skills, step out of my comfort zone, and build a professional website that reflects my personality and growth as a UI/UX designer and web creator.
